Let me offer my deepest condolences on your loss. For the past 7 years, I have played bridge at the Hamilton Bridge Club where your husband, Joe was a weekly player. It is a shock and a sorrow to learn that Joe is no longer with us. Every Wednesday evening my teammate and I would spend 20-30 minutes in friendly competition with Joe and his teammate, Jim. Not only was Joe always trying to learn how to play better bridge, he was an excellent teacher, and despite the fact that we were in competition, he always tried to help me improve my game. Joe had a great sense of humor and win-or-lose, the time spent at his table was always among the most enjoyable of the evening. On more than one occasion, Joe was kind enough to give me a ride home after the game and through our conversations it was clear that he was an intelligent and thoughtful man. Although I suspect he only spoke of his bridge friends in passing, please know that Joe has a few dozen friends at the Hamilton Bridge Club who will miss him immensely. May joyful memories of your time with Joe ease your pain during this difficult time.
Warmly,
Tony Soltis
